Applications for Landsbankinn's Reykjavík Culture Night fund now open
This year, Reykjavík Culture Night will be celebrated in a different form to avoid overly large gatherings, in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines from the Civil Protection Authorities. The festival will take place over a 10-day period, 13-23 August, allowing citizens to enjoy the festivities day after day, night after night.
We are now advertising for original ideas to populate the new and interesting event calendar of the 2020 Cultural Nights.
Grants will be awarded in the amount of ISK 100,000-500,000. Artists, residents, organisations, NGOs and anyone interested can apply for grants. The purpose is to enliven central Reykjavík under the heading of Cultural Nights, the civic participation event co-created and experienced by the city’s inhabitants.
Do you have a good idea for an event? Apply to the fund!
The deadline to apply to the Culture Night fund was 3 July.
The Culture Night fund is a collaboration between the City of Reykjavík and Landsbankinn, a central pillar of the festival since its inception.
This year, we will all have the opportunity to celebrate together, night after night, with the participation of artists, residents and visitors.
