Changes to Landsbankinn's senior management

As of today, Frans Páll Sigurdsson has left his position as the Managing Director of Financial Operations at Landsbankinn at his own request. Frans started working for Landsbankinn in the autumn of 2010 when considerable changes were made to the Bank's senior management when eight new managing directors were appointed.

"Frans has lead significant redevelopment efforts in his area and in the Bank in collaboration with others in the Bank's senior management. Frans has been a strong collaborator and I would like to thank him on behalf of the Bank for his significant contribution and wish him all the best in the future" commented Steinthór Pálsson CEO of Landsbankinn.

Hreidar Bjarnason, Managing Director of Markets & Treasury will assume the position of Managing Director of Financial Operations but subsequently the Bank's organisation will be reviewed.
